Service Mission
The Mission of Patient/Family Health Education Service is to ensure the delivery of positive educational experiences in order to promote positive changes in the knowledge, beliefs, or behavior of patients and their families for improving or maintaining optimal health.
Service Philosophy
Veteran patients must be given the opportunity to gain basic knowledge and participate in their own health care. Patient Education provided must:
- Be a research base
- Utilize technology and creative tools
- Enhance quality care
- Promote community partnerships
- Improve customer satisfaction within CTVHCS
- Outpatient Classes
Clinical staff provide ongoing health education during regularly scheduled outpatient clinic visits. Courses focus on —
