Application Deadline:

Applications will be accepted beginning December 1, 2008 through January 15, 2009.  We are an affiliated program with the University of Texas (UT) College of Pharmacy.  A resume/CV, letter of interest, official transcripts, and a minimum of three letters of recommendation must be submitted prior to the application deadline.  All original application materials must be submitted directly to UT.  In addition, copies of the requested materials should be sent directly to Dr. Faulkner.  Instructions for completing an application can be found through the University of Texas website using the following link: http://www.utexas.edu/pharmacy/divisions/pharmaco/choosing/app.html

CTVHCS will be participating in the residency showcase and PPS during the ASHP midyear clinical meeting in December 2008.

Estimated Stipend: $38,000 plus benefits (paid federal holidays, plus 13 paid work days each of annual and sick leave)

Special Features:

Pharmacists completing this residency will be competent and confident practitioners of direct patient care in multiple environments.  The residency gives focused experience in a broad array of pharmacy practice areas with an emphasis on primary care.  Core rotations include block and longitudinal training in ambulatory care, internal medicine, and practice management.  Elective rotations are also available in hematology/oncology, psychiatry, geriatrics, critical care, and research.  Through CTVHCS and UT, residents present formal lectures, journal club, case presentation, and prepare a residency project.  Following the completion of the residency, the residents will have the necessary skills to be confident pharmacy clinicians and leaders.

Must be a graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy and a U.S. citizen
