About the Program
The Mission for Medical Service is to provide quality care for all patients with the best services available. Our vision as a teaching institution is to promote a learning atmosphere for residents & students while being supervised in all aspects of provider care. We value our commitment to the veterans and their families by providing treatment, education, and a caring attitude.
The Specialty Medicine program delivers a comprehensive range of medical care to veteran patients through general internal medicine and medical subspecialties. We are affiliated with Texas A&M University and Scott & White in the teaching of residents and medical students. Ongoing research in Cardiology, Oncology, Infectious Disease and Gastroenterology is also being done. Our Sleep Lab is certified as a Center of Excellence and provides training for Fellows rotating through Pulmonology.
