About the Program
Research Service provides administrative support to the active and growing research program at CTVHCS as well as assists the Research & Development Committee in the oversight of basic and clinical research activities.
CTVHCS is affiliated with the Texas A&M University Health Science Center. Currently there are a number of active research projects that involves 52 principal investigators with funding from VA and non-VA sources. The Association for Accreditation of Human Research Protection Programs (AAHRP) has awarded CTVHCS the Accreditation Pending status.
This site also serves as the host facility for the VISN 17 Center of Excellence for Research on Returning War Veterans. Additionally, The Center for Chronic Care of Rural Veterans (CCCRV) is sponsored by CTVHCS.
