ALERT: Road Construction at Temple and Waco
ALERT—ROAD CONSTRUCTION starts Monday, August 6, 2018: Waco Campus
Starting Monday, August 6, 2018, the Main Gate at the Doris Miller Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Waco will be closed. Staff, Veterans and visitors are asked to use Gate 1 as an alternate entrance. The roads around the Avenue of Flags, in front of Building 2 and just to the east of Building 1 will also be closed. The bus stop adjacent to the Avenue of Flags near Building 1 will be temporarily moved to the front of the campus at New Road. Please excuse the inconvenience, as we work to make improvements to our roads. Click here for map with details.

VA Notice - Texas Concealed Handgun Law and the new Texas Open Carry Law (Effective Jan. 1, 2016 - DOES NOT APPLY to VA property. No firearms or weapons are allowed on our VA controlled property. Any confiscated firearms will be destroyed and offender will appear before Federal Court. Only certified police officers in the commission of his or her duties may bring a firearm onto VA property. Texas concealed and open carry handgun laws DO NOT apply to VA property.
