Vet Center Bereavement Counseling
Active Duty Deaths: The Department of Veterans Affairs offers bereavement counseling to all family members including spouses, children, parents, and siblings of Service Members who die while on active duty. This includes federally activated members of the National Guard and reserve components. These services are available by calling (720) 874-1031 or (202) 461-6530.
TAPS – Outside Active Duty
Family members who lose a veteran outside of active duty also have the option of contacting TAPS. They can be reached at 1-800-959-8277 and their website is www.TAPS.org
