Speech-Language Pathology Program
Speech-Language Pathology Program provides the following services:
•Speech Sound Production
•Resonance & Voice treatment
•Stuttering
•Augmentative Communication
•Language impairments (Comprehension and Expression)
•Cognitive disorders (Attention, Memory, Sequencing, Thought Organization, Problem Solving and Reasoning)
•Swallowing impairments
Causes of communication and swallowing disorders include:
•Stroke
•Traumatic Brain Injury
•ALS
•Vocal fold pathology
•Tracheostomy
•Parkinson’s disease
•Dementia
•Other Neurological Disorders
•Head and neck cancer
Speech-Language Pathology Outpatient Rehabilitation
Program provides rehabilitation services that emphasize independent functioning. We utilize an individualized treatment approach, education, and consultation by qualified staff to reach achievable outcomes for our Veterans.
ELIGIBILITY:
Veteran must be referred via electronic consult and be eligible for VA Services.
Therapist will determine whether the veteran can benefit from rehabilitation treatment.
Veteran must be willing to comply with therapy and treatment for the duration needed to address the assessed therapeutic needs.
