Prosthetics and Sensory Aids

Our Mission

The mission of the Prosthetic & Sensory Aids Service (PSAS) is to provide comprehensive support to optimize health and independence of the Veteran. Our vision is to be the premier source of prosthetic and orthotic services, sensory aids, medical equipment, and support services for Veterans.

What to expect from Prosthetics and Sensory Aids Service

Programs and Services

Prosthetic Orthotic Lab (Brace Shop) walk in clinic is open weekdays from 8 AM to 4 PM. Special order items require an appointment.

Clothing Allowance Program
All applications must be submitted to the Prosthetic office by August 1st of each year.
2012 changes – Static/Recurring has been eliminated for all new filers and those claiming multiple items.

Eyeglasses
All veterans eligible for care and services under 38 CFR 1738 VHA Directive 1034(1) PRESCRIBING AND PROVIDING EYEGLASSES, CONTACT LENSES, AND HEARING AIDS

Upgrades* will be the responsibility of the patient. *Any upgrade that is not determined a medical necessity by your eye care provider will be between the optical contractor (Korrect Optical) and the patient.

  • UV Coating (ultra violet) $15
  • AR (anti-reflective coating) $89/$99/$129
  • SRC (scratch coating) $12
  • Tint $15
  • Transitions $99/$129/$169
  • Roll & Polish $15
